DowDuPont’s agricultural division presented brand Corteva Agriscience, the future name of the agricultural company, in Brazil. Corteva Agriscience will become independent on January 1, 2019. The official announcement was made during the Expodireto Cotrijal Rural Show, held in the city of Não-Me-Toque, state of Rio Grande do Sul.

AgroPages was present during the event to check the company’s portfolio for plague, disease, and weed control, as well as seeds and biotechnology.

“We are strongly committed to the development of superior quality solutions that can push agriculture and increase farmer income. We want to show this at all the agricultural shows that we participate in this year,” Roberto Hun, president of the agricultural division in Brazil, said.

At the show, new brand Corteva Agriscience exhibited its solutions for management of plague, diseases, and weeds, as well as pasture and the Enlist system. There was also a cinema session, with information about the DowDuPont agricultural division.

Herbicide Verdict

During the Expodireto Cotrijal, herbicide Verdict Max (Haloxyfop-P-methyl) was presented. It is a new solution for control of sourgrass and other grasses, with the formulation that is 4.5 times more concentrated than Verdict R. The product reaches the root. Verdict Max has more spectrum of control because it combats ryegrass also.

Pasture segment

In the segment of pasture, the DowDuPont agricultural division prepared a special pre-launch for Expodireto Cotrijal, the introduction of XT technology – a new exclusive formulation that eliminates up to 80% of more tolerant weeds. Only with a foliar application, it combats semi-herbaceous and herbaceous plants. The product of the XT family will arrive in the market during the 2018/2019 crop season.
